What is Verdania?

An economic laboratory you can step into

Verdania is much more than an educational website: it presents an interactive economic laboratory where people can experiment with economic models, public policies and virtual investment, and observe their consequences on prosperity, inequality and the environment.

It is a fictional, agriculture-led country of 2,000,000 synthetic people, built so that every assumption is visible and every result can be checked.

Environmental effects come from each investment project's notes today; the simulation will model them in a later version.
